Responsibilities"

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy duty medium duty and pickup trucks to ensure peak operational efficiency.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify equipment as needed.
Inspect and service vehicle systems including tire service, shocks & struts, alignment, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical components.
Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
Assist in heavy lifting operations using cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety guidelines.
Support the assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of complex machinery using detailed schematics and technical documentation.

Experience:

3 years + of proven shop experience or extensive background working with heavy truck repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
Hands-on experience with heavy, medium and pickup trucks.
Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel mechanics including engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brake systems), and vehicle electrical systems.
Skilled in automotive diagnostics with the ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
Experience with welding, fabrication techniques, soldering, and the use of power tools for equipment repair or customization.
Knowledge of automotive repair standards for truck drivers’ vehicle mechanics needs including tire service and vehicle systems maintenance.
Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during routine inspections or repairs.
