$1500 sign on bonus after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities"
  • Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspension components, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy duty medium duty and pickup trucks to ensure peak operational efficiency.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify equipment as needed.
  • Inspect and service vehicle systems including tire service, shocks & struts, alignment, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical components.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
  • Assist in heavy lifting operations using cranes or forklifts while adhering to safety guidelines.
  • Support the assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting of complex machinery using detailed schematics and technical documentation.

Experience:
  • 3 years + of proven shop experience or extensive background working with heavy truck repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy, medium and pickup trucks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel mechanics including engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes (including air brake systems), and vehicle electrical systems.
  • Skilled in automotive diagnostics with the ability to interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication techniques, soldering, and the use of power tools for equipment repair or customization.
  • Knowledge of automotive repair standards for truck drivers’ vehicle mechanics needs including tire service and vehicle systems maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during routine inspections or repairs.
